Friends and Neighbors,

This week Team SD 15 was in Salem for Legislative Days. It was a busy three days, with a whirlwind of meetings (47!), committee hearings (six), and caucus meetings (two), and getting bill sponsorships for the 2026 Legislative Session that begins on February 2nd. We will have more to share more in next week's newsletter. I look forward to seeing you at the Forest Grove Town Hall on Friday, January 30th.

Forest Grove Town Hall

Join Attorney General Dan Rayfield, Senator Janeen Sollman, Representative Susan McLain, and Representative Nathan Sosa for an Oregon Priorities Town Hall in Forest Grove on Friday, January 30 at 6:30pm. As we work to keep communities safe, protect consumers, seniors, and working families, and defend Oregonians' values, we want to hear what’s most important to you and your families.

Senate District 15 lies on Kalapuya land. The Atfalati were the northernmost band of the Kalapuya that lived along the Tualatin River in present day Washington County. Many of the Atfalati descendants are members of the Confederated Tribes of the Grand Ronde Community of Oregon today. The Indigenous Peoples of this land experienced a painful history of colonial violence, sickness and removal from their land. The Atfalati are the foundation of Oregon's past and we must honor them well into our future.
