Friends and neighbors,

With Thanksgiving week here, I’ve been reflecting on how grateful I am to live in a place where people step up when others need support. Whether it’s volunteering at schools, helping veterans, supporting local food banks, or simply checking in on a neighbor, Northwest Oregon is full of people who take action—not just talk—and that’s something I value.

I’m also thankful for the opportunity to serve you in Salem. Hearing directly from community members continues to be the most important part of this work, and those conversations shape how I approach the issues ahead.

As we wrap up the year, I’m taking a moment to recognize the good things that happened in 2025, and I’d like to hear from you as well. If there’s something you’re grateful for—big or small—reply to this email and share it with me. We’ll be highlighting these areas of gratitude over the rest of the year in our newsletters and on social media.
