CALL TO ACTION: Transportation Tax Hike

Democrats have finally rolled out their big transportation tax hike bill: House Bill 2025. 

While Democrats are being cagey on how much it's actually going to cost Oregonians, they conceded last night that it will cost at least "over a billion dollars."

With over 35 taxes and fee increases -- including a 37.5% increase in the gas tax, a new sales tax on cars (in addition to the privilege tax you’re already paying), and a tripling of the tax on your wages -- HB 2025 will hit every Oregonian where it hurts the most: the wallet. 

The bill does little in the way of ensuring ODOT spends this money wisely. Instead, this bill cuts a blank check to bureaucrats on the backs of Oregonians. It's outrageous that Democrats would ask for you to pay more without any real reform, accountability, or transparency.

With barely three weeks left in the session, the Democrats look like they are set to ram through this giant tax increase down Oregonians' throats. It's not going to be enough to talk about how bad the bill is. We need to overwhelm the system and push back.
