Friends,
As State Representative for House District 17, I am unwavering in my commitment to protecting Oregon children and ensuring the responsible use of your hard-earned tax dollars. Recent revelations have exposed troubling practices within the Oregon Health Authority, including Medicaid-funded procedures on minors that lack both scientific justification and transparency.
This is why yesterday my colleagues and I took action by sending a letter to U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi, providing critical OHA data on these taxpayer-funded "gender-affirming" procedures. Shockingly, OHA’s own records confirm 26 surgeries on minors between 2019 and 2023—procedures performed without evidence of benefit.
This is state-sponsored medical experimentation on kids, funded by you, the taxpayer.
We are calling for a federal investigation and support for House Bill 3338, which demands science-based reviews and accountability. Together, we can ensure that healthcare reflects our values and prioritizes the well-being of every child.
