I want to take a moment to thank everyone who joined Representative Sanchez and I for our recent townhall. Your presence and participation reflect the strength and commitment of our community, district, and state. I’m always humbled and grateful for the opportunity to connect, listen, and learn from you.
Engaging in these conversations—coming together, exchanging ideas, and understanding different perspectives—is how real progress is made. When we take the time to listen and work through challenges collectively, we build a stronger, more representative democracy. These discussions shape policy, drive change, and ensure that the needs of our district are heard and addressed.

Special Thank You
A special thank you to Representative Sanchez, whose vast experience and dedication make every conversation an absolute privilege. I also want to recognize Senator Frederick—who was unfortunately out with the flu—but whose amazing staff stepped in to ensure his presence was felt, and for helping broadcast the event live.
Additionally, my gratitude goes to Multnomah County Commissioner Shannon Singleton and Portland Councilor Elana Pirtle-Guiney for joining us in the audience and staying engaged with all of us.
And lastly, a huge thank you to Alberta Abbey for graciously hosting this community gathering!
Questions?
I was thrilled to have over 100 community members in attendance, and while time was limited for questions, I want to assure you that my office is always available to hear from you.
If you still have a question, please don’t hesitate to reach out directly. We appreciate your patience with us as we navigate a historic legislative session with a record-breaking number of bills, but we will do our best to respond in a timely manner. Your engagement is invaluable, and I am grateful and excited for your participation in this important process.
