Dear Friends,
I am deeply honored to continue serving as your representative for House District 53 in the Oregon State Legislature. Being re-elected to this role is a privilege, and I am excited to build on the work we’ve accomplished together to make our community stronger, healthier, and more vibrant.
Key Legislative Priorities
This session, I’ve submitted several bills aimed at addressing the needs of our district and all Oregonians. A few highlights include:

Behavioral Health Services for Children: Expanding access to emergency mental health care for kids in crisis.

Breast Cancer Reconstruction Coverage: Ensuring in-network insurance coverage for women needing DIEP flap reconstruction, even out of state.

School Safety: Encouraging the use of panic alert devices to improve emergency responses in our schools.

Housing Solutions: Supporting homeownership programs and tackling youth homelessness with targeted investments.
Each bill reflects the concerns and ideas many of you have shared with me, and I am committed to making meaningful progress on these critical issues.
Committee Assignments
I’m excited to serve on several important committees this session, including:

Co-Chair, Joint Committee On Ways and Means Subcommittee On Natural Resources: Overseeing funding for programs that protect Oregon’s natural resources.

Joint Committee On Ways and Means: Working to ensure our state budget reflects the needs and priorities of our community.

House Committee On Climate, Energy, and Environment: Advocating for bold action on climate change and promoting clean energy.

House Committee On Housing and Homelessness: Crafting policies to expand affordable housing and reduce homelessness.
These assignments allow me to represent the values and priorities of our district while shaping the future of our state.
