Week 3 of the Legislative short session sprint is drawing to a close, signaling our midway point—and I'm just getting started! All bills were required to exit their respective committees by Monday of this week. Unfortunately, my Hospital Financial Transparency Bill did not advance this session due to not having the Democratic votes in needed, but I am eager to reintroduce many of its elements in future sessions. On a brighter note, HB 4088, my bill addressing workplace violence, has been successfully referred to the Ways and Means Committee and remains robust in its progress. I am excited about the opportunity to present it on the floor for a vote. More details on this are available below.
As always, please reach out to my office here if you have any questions or concerns here. You are always encouraged to get involved in the legislative process and can learn more on how here.
