 Hello Friends,
It is another really hot day today here in HD35 and across the state. Due to severe weather conditions, with the possibility for temperatures to reach triple digits all this week, the Beaverton City Library will be available as a cooling center for extended hours in addition to normal schedule, starting Sunday, Aug. 13. Anyone is welcome to cool off, charge devices, use the WiFi, and get water. Restrooms are also available.
Cooling center at Beaverton City Library, Cathy Stanton Room:
Sunday August 13, 6pm-8pm
Monday August 14, 7pm-9pm
Tuesday August 15, 7pm-9pm
Wednesday August 16, 7pm-9pm
More Beaverton-specific information here.
Here are some handy Washington County resources for dealing with the heat, where to find cooling centers, how to recognize heatstroke and heat exhaustion, and more.
Beat the heat and stay cool out there!
Yours truly,
Representative Farrah Chaichi House District 35
