DMV Data Breach

Hello,

As you may be aware from recent reporting, the Oregon DMV has had a data breech affecting 90% of Oregon driver’s license and ID card files.

If you have or have ever had an Oregon driver’s license or ID card, it is better to assume you may have been affected.

Federal law allows individuals to receive a free credit report every 12 months. You can request one online at www.annualcreditreport.com or by phone at 1-877-322-8228.

Check the reports for any activity you do not recognize. For more information you can also visit the Federal Trade Commission’s website on identity theft at https://consumer.ftc.gov/features/identity-theft.

Be vigilant in monitoring your credit activity. If you wish to freeze your credit files, please contact one of the three credit monitoring agencies for assistance.

Equifax: equifax.com/personal/credit-report-services or 1-800-685-1111

Experian: experian.com/help or 1-888-397-3742

TransUnion: transunion.com/credit-help or 1-888-909-8872

Respectfully,
