Friends,
With less than a month in the legislative session left, sine die is imminent. We recently passed the second chamber deadline as well, and saw many more bills die in policy committees.
The second revenue forecast came out with Oregon in a better position than initially realized. Most importantly, Oregon's kicker rebate has grown to $5.5 billion.
Democrats voted to cut school funding despite a favorable revenue forecast. Republicans tried to pull HB 3627 - which would have fully funded our schools - from committee but Democrats voted it down.
On Wednesday I spent the day in Sutherlin attending the Sutherlin Area Chamber of Commerce Stakeholder meeting and met with Mr. Robert Rippy with the Sutherlin Water Control District. Thank you for the wonderful day!

Thank you,
Representative Virgle Osborne House District 2
