Hello Friends, Family and Neighbors
It has been a busy month since I last wrote to you all I would like to start off with last Thursday's testimony. I am happy to announce that we had our first public hearing on HB 3294 which deals with racialized restrictive covenants here in Oregon. This public hearing was a large step forward to helping property owners find a streamlined path to removing racist language in their deed. This bill would be a property owner instigated process and would for the first time in history give Oregonian property owners a way to change their deed. While I cherish this bill you may recognize it from previous legislative sessions and that is because Representative Fahey pioneered this bill in 2018. With that said it is now my turn to try and get this bill through the finish line.

Senate Bill 4 is a testament to how hard Oregon Legislators are working to get this bill passed. This bill would direct Oregon Business Development Department to develop grant and loan program to support businesses applying for financial assistance under Creating Helpful Incentives to Produce Semiconductors. I am eager for the opportunity to work through the proposed amendments that have been forth. I will keep you, my constituents updated on how this bill moves throughout the House.
We have a new date for the Town Hall. It will be the same people who were originally registered to show up. This includes Mayor Joe Buck, Representative Walters, Senator Wagnar and myself. It will take place April 23rd at 1pm and go until 2pm. It is located at Lake Oswego City Hall (380 A Ave, Lake Oswego, OR 97034). We look forward to seeing you all there!
