Family Forward Action Child Care Grant
The work of caring for children makes a difference. The Oregon Child Care Capacity Building Fund is now accepting applications from priority child care providers and community organizations in Oregon! Learn if you are eligible for the grant and apply today.
Oregon child care providers can use grants to open or grow their business, hire employees, and build new skills. Funding can even be used for renovations and repairs needed both inside or outside of care centers, including new fencing and outdoor playground equipment. Grants are also open to community-based organizations working to support small providers in Oregon.
Priority providers and organizations can get started before March 3, 2023 to be considered in the first phase of funding. The Oregon Child Care Capacity Building Fund opens in phases, with a focus on communities where families face the greatest challenges getting their child care needs met.
The priority phase is now open to child care providers who:
- Identify as Black, Indigenous, or people of color
- Provide services in languages other than English
- Care for children with disabilities
- Provide culturally specific services
The Oregon Child Care Capacity Building Fund will also prioritize community-based organizations in Oregon who work with small providers in communities where families face the greatest challenges getting their care needs met.
On March 20, Phase 2 will open to all eligible child care providers and organizations in Oregon.
