Rep. Hieb

Hello House District 39 constituents,

My name is James Hieb and I am your newly appointed State Representative for House District 39.

I am filling the seat recently vacated by the resignation of former Representative Christine Drazan (R-Canby)

First and foremost, I would like to thank the Precinct Committee Members who forwarded my name to the Clackamas and Marion County Commissioners as a candidate to fill the vacant seat. I would like to thank the Commissioners for putting their faith and trust in me to fill the big shoes of former Representative Christine Drazan.

By Way of Introduction.

.

I am a husband and father of four. All aspects of my life revolve around this absolute. With such a strong family bond, it is due to their encouragement and support that I am now a Representative of our community. Professionally I am the Director of our family business, Building Blocks Early Learning Center, partnering with my wife and mother to care for over a hundred children a day in our two facilities. In addition, my family owns Hoffman Family Farms where we cultivate and sell Christmas Trees.

My desire to serve is not new. My service to our community began when I enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. I subsequently deployed to Fallujah, Iraq, as an infantryman, on two separate combat tours of duty.

After my Honorable Discharge I returned home to Canby and volunteered over the years as follows:

1) The Canby Housing Needs Committee,

2) Vice Chair of the Canby Planning Commission,

3) Vice Commander of the Veterans of Foreign Wars post #6057, also served as a Trustee and Adjutant,

4) Member and volunteer with American Legion post 122,

5) Precinct Committee Person,

6) served as National Committeeman and Treasurer for the Young Republicans of Oregon.

All of this service and volunteer work for Clackamas County and the State of Oregon have prepared me to serve as your State Representative.

My legislative priorities are:

Public Safety, Education, & support for small business.

That's just to get started.

I intend to serve my constituents with hard work and integrity as your State Representative.

Don’t hesitate to reach out to me, if you have any questions or concerns my door is always open.

Semper Fidelis,

James Hieb
