Representative Christine Drazan

Our community is one again coming together to support our neighbors who have lost their homes, businesses and livestock. We need to work together to keep each other safe and provide assistance to those in the largest need. Thank you to our first responders working hard to protect all our communities.

Conditions are changing quickly, evacuation orders have been issued for much of the southwest and central areas of our county. The entire cities of Estacada and Molalla have been evacuated. Redland and Potter Road east of Oregon City, Unger Road in the Colton area, Wilhoit and Bird Road in the Molalla area and the Job Corps at Ripplebrook in the Mount Hood National Forest and the Beavercreek area. Most of the southern half of Clackamas County is under a Level 3 evacuation order while Canby, Oregon City and parts of Happy Valley moved to level 2 "Be Set" status this afternoon. I hope everyone will stay safe.

Helpful Resources

Here are important and helpful resources to help you stay up to date date as things change with the fires:

1. Clackamas County is maintaining a wildfire informational page here. It includes meeting points for individuals displaced by wildfires. See screenshot #1, below for the list of Check-In Sites.

2. The County is also updating a color-coded fire-evacuation map here. See screenshot #2, below.

3. Clackamas County Disaster Management is encouraging people to sign up for PublicAlerts -- it allows county residents to opt-in to receive critical wildfire emergency messaging via email, phone call, and text. Sign up now, here. You can also text your zip code to "888777" to opt-in to text alerts.

4. The County Sheriff's Office is updating their Twitter feed with breaking news during this crisis. Their Twitter feed will serve as their most immediate source of breaking information.

5. Here's a wildfire resource from the State of Oregon -- including a Fires and Hotspots Map, Air Quality Index info, experts to follow, and more.

6. Here is the Inciweb informational page for the Riverside Fire near Estacada -- updated regularly.

7. If you have to evacuate, you can register with the Red Cross as "Safe and Well" to share your status with friends and family. The registration form can be found here.

8. 911 operators are currently being inundated with calls from throughout the state. Please only call 911 if you see a fire directly, or find yourself or others in a life threatening situation. Do not call 911 about utility issues or vision of smoke.

9. Here are current locations for RV parking and places for your livestock.
