Representative Hayden, Representative Salinas, Representative Nosse and Oregon Health Authority Director Patrick Allen spoke at the Oregon Hospital Associations Rural Health Summit this week. The Rural Health Summit was created to allow our rural hospital members to convene and discuss health policy practices of serving rural Oregon. The discussion included defining social determinants of health, strengthening the behavioral health system in Oregon, and providing essential emergency services in rural communities.

"Metropolitan areas have what we often call an embarrassment of resources that are used to provide great programs to their communities, but we need to find a way to lift up all of Oregon including the rural areas that are struggling the most."  - Representative Cedric Hayden
