Over a thousand concerned citizens gather in Salem to protect parental rights
On Tuesday April 23rd, a rally to protect parental rights took place on the Capitol steps in Salem. Over a thousand concerned citizens showed their opposition to HB 3063, a bill that would remove the philosophical and religious exemption for vaccinations. This bill would prevent children who have even delayed one vaccination from attending any school in Oregon. Representative Hayden's office alone has received an estimated five thousand emails from Oregonians pleading for this bill not to pass. The bill received a work session today in the Ways & Means Committee and will be heading to the Senate and House floors for a final vote by all legislators.
