March Update (Upcoming Blackout Scheduled)

Janeen Sollman

Friends & Neighbors,

I wanted to reach out and let you all know about the upcoming blackout period (March 16-May 15). In accordance with House Rule 14.30, Legislators are barred from using state resources to send out communications 60 days before an election.

Therefore, this will be my last newsletter before the primary election on May 15th. I will not be going away, I just won’t be able to send out e-blasts for events and other activities from our state resources. I encourage you to follow my social media pages to keep up with activities I’m involved in and to stay in the loop on upcoming events. I really appreciate all the support I’ve received from you all, and I look forward to continuing communications in May!

summit
The Hillsboro Schools Summit was a great opportunity to hear about district progress, challenges and to hear from students. The students and teacher panel commented on the district motto to know each student by name, strength and need. They highlighted the importance of mentors and volunteers being key to a student's successful school experience. BIG thank you to Mike and Laura McMurrary from the Hillsboro Hops for their organization's support of HSD activities and athletics programs. #ProudToBeHSD

Feel free to reach me by calling our office number below, sending me a message via email or social media, or see you at the table at an upcoming Listening Session. Happy Spring!
