E-Cigarettes

On Monday, I voted in favor of HB 2546 which prohibits the sale of e-cigarettes to minors and there indoor use. Minors are currently able to go to the store and buy an e-cigarette containing nicotine and HB 2546 eliminates this loophole.

Erin's Law

I've had the opportunity this session of sponsoring child sexual abuse prevention legislation. SB 856 will establish educational programs in public schools to teach kids how to identify and avoid sexual abuse. On Monday, I testified in favor of Erin's Law to the House Committee on Education.
