Hillsboro Staff Testify to Oregon Legislature

Government Relations Manager Andy Smith and Economic & Community Development Director Dan Dias testified on Monday, February 27, to the Joint Committee on Semiconductors.

• Dan & Andy's 38-minute testimony & presentation spoke to the viability and opportunity to have a large (500+ acre) site available in Hillsboro, along with associated critical supply chain.
  
  
• The testimony also addressed the legislative action required to bring currently designated rural reserves back into play for urbanization to attract a new semiconductor campus as described in the recent Oregon Business Council report.

Pix in the Park: Community Choice begins

For the first time ever, Hillsboro community members can nominate and vote for their favorite movies to watch during Pix in the Park this August.

Round 1: Community Nominations

Throughout March, community members can go to Engage Hillsboro or Conectate Hillsboro in Spanish to nominate movies in four categories:

• Youth & Family (G/PG)
• Spanish-language (G/PG/PG-13)
• Teen (PG/PG-13)
• Classic Family Favorite (G/PG)

Round 2: Community Voting

From April 4 to May 11, community members will vote on the movie finalists on Engage Hillsboro and Conectate Hillsboro.
