Save the Date: 2026 Oregon Adult Basic Skills Conference – October 16, 2026
Mark your calendars! The 2026 Oregon Adult Basic Skills Conference will take place virtually on Friday, October 16, 2026. We’re excited to once again host this event in a virtual format to ensure broad access and meaningful participation from adult education professionals across the state.
Registration details and the full conference agenda will be shared in the coming months. In the meantime, start thinking about how you might contribute as our Call for Proposals opens in April! We look forward to bringing the field together for another engaging and impactful conference experience.

The 2026 National GED® Conference will be held in Atlanta, Georgia bringing together educators, administrators, corrections partners, and leaders from across the country to share insights, strategies, and inspiration to support learner success.
This event features dynamic sessions, networking opportunities, and practical takeaways designed to enhance instruction, strengthen programs, and build community impact. Welcome Oregon’s Newest GED® Testing Centers!
We’re excited to announce the addition of three new official GED® testing centers in Oregon!

Multnomah Education Service District has joined our network of testing centers in Portland, OR and is primarily serving youth test takers.

Medford 549C has also joined the statewide network, providing greater access to testing in Medford, OR and surrounding communities.

Employment & Education Resource Center in Portland, OR is our newest testing center joining others serving learners in the metro area.
Please join us in welcoming these two locations and celebrating their commitment to expanding educational access and supporting learner success!
Share Your Student Success Stories – GED® Student Spotlights
GED Testing Service ® is currently seeking inspiring student spotlight stories to feature across their national platforms. These stories highlight the determination, resilience, and achievement of GED® graduates and learners, and help showcase the powerful impact of adult education.
If you have a student whose journey deserves to be celebrated, we encourage you to submit their story! Sharing these successes not only honors individual achievement but also highlights the incredible work happening in programs across Oregon.

Oregon Promise Grant Application Deadline Approaching!
October 1, 2025 – February 28, 2026, GED Graduates
The Spring 2025-26 GED Cohort deadline is approaching on March 10, 2026, at 11:59 PM for students who are GED graduates between October 1, 2025, to February 28, 2026. These students must submit both their Oregon Promise Grant application and their 2025-26 FAFSA/ORSAA application to ensure they are fully considered for Oregon Promise Grant for the Spring 2025-26 term. FAFSA and ORSAA: The 2025-26 FAFSA and ORSAA are open. Visit our FAFSA/ORSAA pages to learn how to prepare and apply.
FAFSA/ORSAA Help Webinars: View our website for numerous upcoming FAFSA/ORSAA webinars, including training for practitioners and student drop-in help sessions.
Oregon Promise Grant: Students who are high school or GED® test graduates between July 1, 2025, and June 30, 2026, can apply now! Deadline varies by graduation date.
Oregon Tribal Student Grant: The 2026-2027 Oregon Tribal Student Grant application is open. Students can now and are encouraged to apply for the 2026-2027 academic year (Fall 2026, Winter 2027, Spring 2027).
OSAC Scholarship Application provides current and future Oregon students one easy application to apply for multiple scholarships at one time. Students who complete the scholarship application by February 16, 2026, will be entered into a drawing for an Early Bird Scholarship. The final deadline to submit the application is March 2, 2026.
