Oregon Tribal Student Grant

The 2026-27 application is now open

The Oregon Tribal Student Grant provides funding for eligible Oregon tribal students attending eligible Oregon colleges and universities. New, and continuing students are encouraged to apply for this grant. The Oregon Tribal Student Grant is intended to cover the average cost of attendance at public institutions after all federal and state grants and scholarships have been applied. The  2026-27 application is now open.  

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for the program students must be an enrolled member of one of the nine federally recognized tribes in Oregon:

• Burns Paiute Tribe
• Confederated Tribes of Coos, Lower Umpqua and Siuslaw Indians
• Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde
• Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians
• Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation
• Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs
• Coquille Indian Tribe
• Cow Creek Band of Umpqua Tribe of Indians
• Klamath Tribes

Students must be enrolled or accepted for enrollment at an Oregon college or university and have completed a FAFSA or ORSAA for the 2026-2027 academic year. Additional eligibility information can be found on the Oregon Tribal Student Grant website.

Oregon Student Child Care Grant

2026-27 Application now open

The Oregon Student Child Care Grant helps student-parents manage the cost of child care while working toward a college degree or certificate. The 2026–27 application opened January 15, and will remain open until June 1, 2026. Awarding takes place over the summer, and students should expect to receive award notifications around August or September.

This grant is available to eligible Oregon resident undergraduate students who have dependent children age 12 or younger, or older children with special needs. Award amounts are based on child care costs or average local rates and may provide up to $10,000 per academic year.

To be considered, students must complete either the FAFSA or ORSAA in addition to the Child Care Grant application. Funds are administered through the student’s school financial aid office. Learn more Oregon Child Care Grant website.
