Transfer Council Approves 19 Courses as part of Common Course Numbering (CCN)
On November 21, Transfer Council approved the final group of courses for 2024, as part of Common Course Numbering alignment work for the year. These courses will appear in academic catalogs starting 2025-2026. Also included were three math courses from 2023, which were delayed until passage of the CCN OARs, in October. This brings the total number of CCN courses aligned thus far to 37. CCN began in 2022 with the alignment of 10 courses; an additional eight courses were added in 2023. During 2024, nine subcommittees participated in CCN work, with 153 faculty and staff meeting from February to June, and again from October to November to align 16 new courses for 2024. For more on this work, see the Educator Resources--Common Course Numbering webpage, and for a complete list of courses approved see the 2024 List of CCN Courses.
