Register Now: "Point of View" Oregon Adult Basic Skills Conference, November 4-5
The HECC is pleased to announce that the annual Oregon Adult Basic Skills (ABS) Conference will be held on November 4-5, 2024, in Salem, Oregon, and registration is open. The theme of this year's conference is "Point of View," emphasizing the importance of recognizing and valuing diverse perspectives of adult learners and those pursuing high school equivalency. The Oregon Adult Basic Skills Conference is an annual event that brings together professionals committed to advancing Adult Basic Skills and high school equivalency education.
Register Now: 2024 ASPIRE Conferences, October 16 and October 18
We are pleased to announce that registration is open for the ASPIRE Fall Conference, an annual event organized by the HECC Office of Student Access and Completion (OSAC) that brings together professionals committed to advancing college and career mentoring and access. In 2024, we will hold two ASPIRE conference events—one in Eugene and one in Bend. Among many exciting workshops, sessions will focus on financial aid and scholarships, supporting students with the FAFSA or ORSAA, supporting students interested in apprenticeships and trades, supporting middle school programs, and the role of artificial intelligence in career and college readiness.
Reminder: Encourage Students to Complete the FAFSA or ORSAA
Please continue to support students in completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the Oregon Student Aid Application (ORSAA). It's not too late for students to apply for aid and pursue their college goals. Please remind students and their parents to ensure the FAFSA is completed, signed, and submitted by all contributors. Resources an be found at the links below.
In addition to the FAFSA or ORSAA, multiple programs require additional applications: go to OregonStudentAid.gov for application information.

Oregon Tribal Student Grant: The 2024-25 application for the Oregon Tribal Student Grant is now open! Both new and renewal students planning to attend college in the 2024-25 academic year can apply now.
Summer Term ONGSTA: Oregon National Guard State Tuition Assistance grant has received additional funding to allow for 2024 Summer Term aid. Please submit your 2024 Summer Term application ASAP.
