July Updates: We Grow and Go!

Our office is buzzing with activity, and we are thrilled to share some exciting updates with you!

Significant Growth and Achievement

We are proud to announce a remarkable 28% increase in GED® test credentials since last month! This surge reflects the hard work and dedication of our learners and educators.

We also successfully completed the GED: Just 1 to go! campaign with almost 200 participants. This initiative has been instrumental in helping learners close the final gap (passing their last test) towards obtaining their GED® test credential.

Thank you for being part of our community! We look forward to seeing you at upcoming events and continuing to celebrate our shared successes.

2024 GED Conference

We are eagerly anticipating the 2024 GED Conference in Long Beach, California! This event promises to be a fantastic opportunity for learning, inspiration, and new perspectives. Highlights include:

- Train the Trainer session, returning after five years.

- Integrated Education and Training programs focusing on workplace partnerships and apprenticeships.

- Insights into the new GED Mobile app (see below).

- Spanish-language sessions on various GED subjects.

- GED Analytics sessions for all levels of users.

- Inspirational stories at the GED Graduate of the Year awards

- A sensory-friendly room, ensuring accessibility for all attendees.

Achieve GED Success with the New GED & Me™ Mobile App

GED Success in the Palm of Your Hand

The GED Testing Service (GEDTS) has launched the GED & Me™ mobile app, now available now in the App Store! This official GED® app offers personalized guidance to help learners prepare for and pass the GED test. With GED & Me™, users can set goals, track study time, and develop healthy study habits to achieve their credential.

Practice Questions

Learners can sharpen their knowledge and familiarize themselves with the types of questions they’ll encounter on the test. The app includes a limited number of practice questions and delivers a new question daily, making it easy and fast to keep practicing.

Your Personal Study Buddy

Users can connect the app to their Kaplan GED Prep book to set study goals and focus on the most critical areas. The app will offer additional practice questions once the book is connected, with plans to expand support to more prep books soon.

Personalized Guidance

GED & Me™ provides step-by-step guidance throughout the GED journey. From knowing where to start and what to study, to determining when learners are ready for a practice test and scheduling the actual GED test for each subject. Users can set up notifications for reminders, pointers, and encouragement as test day approaches.

GED Credentialing™ Service Fee Update

• Printed Diplomas: As of September 1, GED® grads will pay a $10 fee (+ standard shipping) for the first copy of a printed/physical diploma. Shipping rates will be adjusted and set based on prevailing USPS rates. For expedited delivery options, shipping and handling fees apply at the then current rates.
• Duplicate Diplomas and Transcripts: As of September 1, duplicate copies of diplomas or transcripts (printed and electronic versions) will cost $18 per document (+ shipping for printed versions).
