Dear Transfer Hub recipients,
We are pleased to share a special announcement about the new HECC website resources on transfer. You may have received the agency announcement earlier this month about our redesigned Higher Education Coordinating Commission website at www.oregon.gov/highered. The new website is designed to be more accessible, mobile responsive, and user-friendly as we aim to engage the public on the work we do to support higher education and training statewide.
This redesign includes a new Transfer section where students, faculty, and partner resources are all available in one place. We encourage you to take the time to explore this new section, and the site as a whole, and to share the new resources with your communities.
Transfer – this is a dedicated portion of the new HECC website focused on the statewide collaborative work to streamline transfer pathways. Here you can find out more on the public processes of the Transfer Council, as well as final agreements and resources for students.

About Our Work to Improve Transfer Pathways
The Higher Education Coordinating Commission is committed to simplifying and aligning pathways in the higher education network, including pathways for students to successfully transfer between institutions, and maximize credits toward their degrees and certificates. The HECC and Oregon’s community colleges and public universities collaborate on this effort through legislation, research, and campus level initiatives. Established in 2021 under Senate Bill 233, the Transfer Council develops recommendations to the HECC on a common course numbering system and Major Transfer Maps, and addresses other credit transfer-related concerns.
