Oregon Promise Grant Application is Open!

July 1, 2023 - June 30, 2024 Graduates

The Oregon Promise Grant application is now open for students who will graduate between July 1, 2023 and June 30, 2024. Deadline varies by graduation date. Please refer to the chart below or this handout to determine the correct deadline. All students only have one opportunity to apply for Oregon Promise, based on their graduation date. Most students must apply by June 1. If you have any questions or need application assistance, please email OregonPromise@hecc.oregon.gov.

The first deadline is for high school students who will graduate between July 1, 2023 and Nov. 30, 2023 is up first. They must submit their Oregon Promise application AND the 2023-24 FAFSA or ORSAA by Nov. 1, 2023. High school registrars must verify their GPA by Nov. 8, 2023 for Winter Cohort. 2024-25 FAFSA and ORSAA Delay - December 2023

Fall 2024 - Spring 2025 Aid Year

As you may have heard, there is a delay with the upcoming 2024-25 FAFSA and ORSAA applications. Instead of the normal October 1 open date, the applications will open in December 2023. OSAC is staying up-to-date with all communications from Federal Student Aid regarding the FAFSA application and a finalized open date. Please check out our new webpage often for resources, notifications, etc. surrounding the 2024-25 FAFSA and ORSAA.

For current colleges students receiving Oregon Promise, they do not need to apply again for Oregon Promise. Current recipients must simply submit the 2024-25 FAFSA or ORSAA by June 1, 2024 and meet all Oregon Promise Renewal criteria.

Is your high school, community-based organization, college, or higher-education related group assisting students with college and career readiness? If so, OSAC would love to come out and talk about financial aid! Submit an OSAC Outreach request now - availability is filling up!

High School Registrars - GPA Verification is All Year

For students who graduate prior to March 1, they will need their GPA verified early to be considered for Oregon Promise Winter/Spring Cohort. OSAC recommends that high school registrars log into their OSAC Partner Portal accounts early and often to ensure they verify all their eligible students. If you are a high school registrar and have questions about your account, please email PartnerPortalSupport@hecc.oregon.gov.
