Planning Grant Reminder – Applications due Monday, September 4
OregonServes is offering organizations an opportunity to create their own AmeriCorps program through a planning grant! A planning grant provides applicants with resources to design an AmeriCorps program and help organizations build the capacity to manage an AmeriCorps program. To learn more about planning grants, visit our webpage or register for our informational webinar on August 17 at 10 am. If you're unable to attend the webinar, don't worry. If you've registered, we'll send you a link to the recording.

Staff Member Spotlight, Mackenzie Pritchett (she/her)
Mackenzie Pritchett joins OregonServes as our new Grants and Compliance Officer where she provides fiscal and grant support to our grantees. Mackenzie comes to us having worked almost seven years with the State of Oregon in a variety of capacities and experience as a teacher. Mackenzie was born and raised in Oregon and in her words, "Of course had to go to the best Oregon college, Go Ducks!" She loves to travel, be outside, and eat all the things. She currently lives in Southern Oregon with her two children, Harper and Nixon, and is excited to be a part of the amazing work our grantees accomplish. Welcome, Mackenzie!

“My hope for the future and with my service is that around the world, while some are putting out fires, more than twice that amount will be teaching about fire prevention, and that when we look at all our service as service, we can all be proud to see that we are working together to have a better world.” –Irene S., AmeriCorps Stories of Service, May 2003
