Psilocybin Rulemaking Update – RAC meetings in November

Greetings,

The Medical Cannabis & Psilocybin (MCAP) section is leading a new rulemaking process to consider psilocybin rule changes that are unrelated to proposed fee changes.

We will convene two Rules Advisory Committee (RAC) meetings the first week of November 2026 to discuss draft administrative rules. These virtual meetings are open to the public to observe and will be recorded and posted on our website. For dates, times, meeting links, meeting materials and more, please go to the Administrative Rules and Rulemaking webpage.

After RAC members provide their input, the next version of proposed rules will be open for public comment. The public comment period will be from December 1 through December 21, 2026. At that time, we will invite members of the public to submit comments in writing or attend the virtual public hearing, scheduled for Tuesday, December 15, 2026.
