Greetings,
Today, September 1, 2026, marks the beginning of a new chapter for the Oregon Medical Marijuana Program (OMMP) and the Oregon Psilocybin Services (OPS) section as we merge into the Medical Cannabis & Psilocybin (MCAP) section. I want to extend deep gratitude for OMMP Section Manager, Megan Lockwood, who has dedicated over 18 years to administering OMMP’s work. I am honored to continue this work and lead the MCAP section.
For those of you who do not know me, my name is Angie Allbee, and I use she/her pronouns. I joined the Oregon Health Authority Public Health Division as Oregon Psilocybin Services Section Manager over five years ago to implement the nation’s first regulatory framework for psilocybin services. Prior to my current role, I served as Senior Policy Advisor for Oregon Health Authority Government Relations and in policy roles with the Oregon Department of Human Services, Oregon Criminal Justice Commission, Oregon House Majority Office, and Oregon Legislative Assembly. Prior to policy work in Oregon, I spent nearly over a decade in the non-profit sector serving older adults, individuals with disabilities, refugees, asylees, veterans, and survivors of domestic and sexual violence. I received my Executive Master of Public Administration degree from the Mark O. Hatfield School of Government at Portland State University and will soon complete a Master of International Public Health. In my free time, I enjoy working on a passion project building water infrastructure in rural St. Thomas Parish, Jamaica.
I look forward to working with you as we build a sustainable future for medical cannabis and psilocybin. Moving forward, please note that we will be updating our new section name on forms, website pages, and other resources over the coming months, but it may take some time. That said, there will be no disruption in services or processes.
Thank you for your partnership in ensuring safe, effective, and equitable psilocybin services in Oregon.
Sincerely, Angie
