OHP Dental Periodicity Schedule for EPSDT beneficiaries
Oregon Administrative Rule (OAR) 410-151-0004 (EPSDT Screening Exams) is now permanent. This rule now includes the requirement for Open Card and CCO dental providers to use the OHP Dental Periodicity Schedule for routine preventive dental care and treatment for EPSDT beneficiaries.
The updated rule also includes a link to the OHP dental periodicity schedule.
This is not a new requirement for OHP dental providers. The rule change is intended to align our EPSDT OARs with existing federal Medicaid rules.
Fee-for-service nursing facility rates effective July 1, 2026
Oregon Health Authority (OHA) has updated the fee-for-service payment rates for nursing facility room and board services billed through the Hospice Services program. The rates are also on the Hospice Services rules and guidelines page.
These rates:
- Are for care and services provided within a nursing facility from
July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027.
- Reflect Oregon Department of Human Services nursing facility room and board rates effective July 1, 2026.
Updates for substance use disorder service providers
OHA is sharing two updates:
- The federal Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services mandated rate adjustments for certain codes. OHA will publish the changes in the July 1, 2026 Behavioral Health Fee Schedule.
- OHA has updated Medication-Assisted Treatment billing guidance to clarify that eligible providers should also bill for methadone medication when dispensing take-home doses. Using this code allows OHA to track all doses.
