Medicaid Administrative Claiming and School Safety and Prevention Specialists
Oregon Health Authority and Oregon Department of Education have partnered to find ways to support funding School Safety and Prevention Specialists (SSPS).
This collaborative effort highlights that many of the activities performed by SSPS are reimbursable through Medicaid Administrative Claiming (MAC). To encourage SSPS participation and provide support, OHA and ODE:
- Developed a MAC guidance document specific to SSPS.
- Provided MAC training for SSPS November 5.
Future engagements include training for Education Service District (ESD) MAC coordinators in support of SSPS participation in MAC on November 18.
