Here’s to a fantastic 2025!
– The ROADS Team
With the ROADS launch just around the corner in Q1 2025, it’s important that all providers have Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) configured.
Many of you have already completed this step—thank you! You’re all set.
For those who still need to configure MFA, whether you’re a new provider with a Temporary Access Password (TAP) or an existing provider, here’s what you need to know to get set up:
Scenario 1: New Providers with a TAP
If you’ve recently received a Temporary Access Password (TAP), it’s important to act quickly—your TAP is only valid for 24 hours after it’s issued.
Steps to Set Up MFA with a TAP:
- Follow the instructions to configure MFA:
- Once MFA is configured, set your password using this link:
What if My TAP Has Expired? If your TAP has expired before you could complete setup, you’ll need to attend an MFA support session (see Scenario 2 below). TAPs cannot be reissued.
Scenario 2: Existing Providers or Expired TAP
If you don’t have a TAP—or your TAP has expired before you could complete your setup—attending a support session is the best way to configure MFA. These sessions are also a great option if you’d like personalized, step-by-step help from a technician, even if your TAP is still valid.
OIS offers two types of support to meet your needs. Group Support Sessions are perfect if you prefer general guidance and the opportunity to ask questions about MFA, MOTS, or ROADS. For those who want a more tailored experience, 1:1 Support Sessions provide one-on-one assistance to walk you through the entire process.
Please note: You only need to attend one session—either a group session or a 1:1 session, not both.
You can register for a session here:

Additional Notes for EDI Providers:
If you’re an EDI provider, here’s what you need to know:
- To sign up for an MFA session, you must have an active P# and a state-issued UPN (User Principal Name).
- If you’re unsure whether you have a P#, email MOTS Support for assistance.
- If you don’t have a P# but wish to view your files once ROADS launches, complete the User Request Form.
Key Notes for All Providers:
-
Existing Providers: You will not receive a TAP and should attend an MFA support session to complete your setup.
-
Citrix Access: If you were previously instructed to log in through Citrix, please disregard that guidance. MOTS is accessible directly.
- For technical issues, contact ROADS Support or call the Service Desk at 503-945-5623, option 1.
Let’s make sure you’re ready to hit the ground running when ROADS goes live! Please reach out with any questions!
