Time is spent each meeting getting to know the work we do at OHA, sharing statewide and local resources, establishing partnerships, and discussing the monthly topic area.

Monthly Community of Practice Highlight: Public Health & Public Safety Partnerships
The Public Health (PH) & Public Safety (PS) Partnerships Community of Practice provides a safe space for the Overdose Response Strategy (ORS) and Oregon-Idaho High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) program to share relevant and timely updates about PH/PS data, foster relationship building with local partners, and provide technical assistance to localities working on shared overdose prevention projects between PH & PS. We are excited for you to join us.

2025 National Forum on Overdose Fatality Review
 Registration for the Comprehensive Opioid, Stimulant, and Substance Use Program's (COSSUP) 2025 National Forum on Overdose Fatality Review is now open.
The Overdose Fatality Review (OFR) National Forum will take place on February 11–12, 2025 in Portland, OR. To underscore this year’s theme, Turning the Tide: Saving Lives, Supporting Recovery, and Honoring Those We Have Lost, participants will learn from national experts and practitioners of OFR in a mix of general-interest plenary sessions, workshops for those new to OFR, and skills trainings to strengthen existing OFRs over the 1½-day convening.
No-cost Registration

Overdose Response Strategy (ORS) National Conference Call for Abstracts
The Overdose Response Strategy (ORS) is calling for abstract submissions for the ORS National Conference on May 13-15th in Portland, OR.
The ORS invites local public health and public safety partners to submit abstracts that highlight cross-sector collaborative efforts to reduce fatal and non-fatal overdoses.
Submissions accepted through December 20, 2024, at 11:59pm EST.
