OHA is currently engaged in a study of its Quality Incentive Program through which CCOs can earn bonus dollars on a set of metrics. The study was directed by Senate Bill 966 (2023) and is being conducted by the Regional Research Institute (RRI) for Human Services at Portland State University. The following message comes from RRI as they complete their final push in the data collection phase of the study:
We have partnered with OHA to evaluate the Quality Incentive Program. The primary goal of the evaluation is to develop programmatic and governance structure recommendations so the program helps achieve OHA’s goal of eliminating health inequities, including the structural drivers of health inequities.
We have heard from roughly half of the CCOs for the purposes of the study but have received no response from nearly half. CCOs have valuable insight into what’s working and what could be improved for the Quality Incentive Program in relation to furthering health equity for OHP members. We invite CCOs to participate in an approximately 60-minute individual or group interview that will allow us to gather feedback about the CCO Quality Incentive Program and how it may affect OHA’s goal of eliminating health inequity. We are also hoping to hear from community-based organizations or providers serving OHP members.
Thank you for your time and we look forward to learning from you, Mary Oschwald (503.725.9602); oschwald@pdx.edu
On January 29, 2024 the Advisory Committee for Physician Credentialing Information (ACPCI) convened and voted on recommendations sent in by interested groups to revise the 2023 Oregon Practitioner Credentialing and Recredentialing Applications (OPCA and OPRA). The approved recommendations were subsequently approved by OHA's Director Dr. Sejal Hathi and posted online on June 11, 2024.
