February 2024
Dear MOTS / ROADS Community,
As we delve into the second month of 2024, we're excited to continue our journey with you toward the launch of the ROADS system. While we're still in the thick of Development Cycle 4, rest assured that progress continues steadily. Here's a recap of what's been happening lately:
ROADS Project Updates We're deep into the fourth phase of development, focusing on critical aspects such as the external provider portal, EDI fine-tuning, integration of new elements like Stabilization Services and Mobile Crisis, security role enhancements, business rule refinement, and UI enhancements. Our commitment to keeping our providers informed and involved remains unwavering. We've been occupied with internal technical design work. Stay tuned for more!
Thank You to MFA Beta Testers We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who participated as a beta tester in our Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) sessions in January. We appreciate the patience and understanding everyone showed as we navigated through this new process together. Your feedback is incredibly important to us and instrumental in refining our systems and processes. THANK YOU!
Ways to Configure MFA on a Mobile Device For those configuring MFA on a personal mobile device, we have two convenient options available. You can join our upcoming webinar on Wednesday, February 28th at 9:00 AM, where we'll guide you through the process step by step. Alternatively, we've created a comprehensive PDF guide for your reference and convenience, allowing you to configure MFA at your own pace and on your own time.
Upcoming YubiKey Info Session For those unable to configure MFA on an individually assigned device, we'll provide YubiKeys as a secure alternative. We will be hosting a YubiKey information session on Tuesday, March 12th at 1:00 PM. This session will help you determine if the YubiKey is the right authentication method for you and your facility. More details will follow as we approach the training date.
What is a YubiKey? A YubiKey is a physical hardware token that provides an additional layer of authentication. It can be plugged into a USB port, offering a secure means of verifying identity. Additionally, you'll need to download an accompanying app onto the device used for submitting data. While YubiKeys are an option for MFA, we acknowledge that they can be cumbersome. Therefore, our recommendation is to utilize a personal mobile device for ease of authentication. If you require a YubiKey or have any questions, please reach out to us.
We are in the midst of the legislative session and our team is closely monitoring several bills that could potentially influence the MOTS / ROADS systems. This dynamic process is both engaging and promising. Stay tuned as these developments progress.
