In the Dec. 22nd Waiververse newsletter, OHA relayed some of the basics about Community Capacity Building Funds (CCBFs), which are grants to help support the work of community-based organizations (CBOs) and partners to deliver new health-related social needs (HRSN) benefits to eligible Oregon Health Plan (OHP) members. A two-page summary and FAQ with additional information is now available in multiple languages on a new CCBF web page. OHA will update this web page when grant applications open in March.

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid (CMS) recently approved Oregon’s proposed structure for how health-related social needs (HRSN) benefits will be delivered, representing a major milestone for the state’s 1115 waiver. The framework, which is called the HRSN Services Protocol, is located on the 1115 waiver web site and provides details on who will be eligible for benefits, how OHP members will be identified and which HRSN services will be covered.
