Oregon Medical Marijuana Program Rules Advisory Committee meets via Zoom Oct. 11
What: The Oregon Medical Marijuana Program (OMMP) will be holding a rules advisory committee (RAC) meeting to review changes to cannabis testing found in Division 7. This rulemaking will focus on making permanent the temporary rule that removed the requirement for aspergillus testing.
Agenda: Welcome and introductions, review proposed rule changes, Statement of Need and Fiscal Impact, and Racial Equity Statement. The full agenda and meeting materials will be available at www.healthoregon.org/ommprules.
While only RAC members will be able to comment on the proposed rules during the meeting, the public is invited to comment on those rules during a public comment period that will be scheduled at a later date. Information about the public comment period will be posted on the OMMP website, and sent out as listserv notifications. Background: The Oregon Health Authority (OHA) is responsible for cannabis testing rules that apply to both the medical and retail market.
All marijuana items and industrial hemp-derived vapor items must be sampled and tested according to OAR 333-007-0300 to 333-007-0500 and OAR 333-064-0100 to 333-064-0130. ORELAP sampling protocols must also be followed.
Any laboratory that samples and tests marijuana items and industrial hemp-derived vapor items must be accredited by ORELAP and licensed by OLCC.
All marijuana items transferred or sold to a dispensary or retail shop must be accompanied by documentation of passing test results.
