Happy National School Social Work Week!

National School Social Work Week - March 1-7, 2026

National School Social Work Week

The 2026 theme, “Unite to Ignite: Celebrating Our Impact,” honors the collective strength, dedication, and passion of school social workers nationwide. Throughout the school year, school social workers navigate complex challenges and rising student needs with resilience and compassion. By uniting students, families, educators, and communities, they ignite positive change and help create supportive environments where all students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

National School Social Work Week

The School Social Work Association of America is proud to promote National School Social Work Week, held the first full calendar week of March (Sunday - Saturday). SSWAA collects and shares resources to help you celebrate and promote School Social Work Week.

We hope you will make some great plans to celebrate as well as receive much-deserved recognition for the vital role that you provide to students, administrators, teachers, educators, parents, and the community!
