Supporting the Attendance of All Oregon Students: Guidance for Supporting Oregon's K-12 Public School Students During Heightened Immigration Enforcement
In times of heightened immigration enforcement, students and families face unique circumstances that may impact regular attendance. The Supporting the Attendance of All Oregon Students: Guidance for Supporting Oregon's K-12 Public School Students During Heightened Immigration Enforcement addresses questions to help school and district leaders support attendance for all Oregon students.
Calculating Regular Attendance
The Regular Attenders measure calculates the percentage of students who were present for more than 90% of their total enrolled days during the year. This is the rate that is displayed at the school and district levels on Oregon’s At-A Glance School and District Profiles, the Online Report Card, and included in ODE’s accountability system. Because ODE’s calculations are based on statewide Cumulative Average Daily Membership data and definitions, regular attender data may differ from what districts see in their local systems. The Calculating Regular Attendance resource is shared to support districts and schools to understand how ODE calculates Regular Attendance ahead of the November data release.
Oregon Prepares Adoption Plan for the Modernized National Career Clusters® Framework
What is the Modernized National Career Clusters® Framework?
In 2002, the National Career Clusters® Framework reshaped traditional vocational education into what we now know as Career Technical Education (CTE)—a system that helps students connect classroom learning to real-world career pathways. The Framework organizes occupations into career clusters and sub-clusters, guiding schools in designing programs that prepare students for meaningful, high-wage, high-demand careers.
