Thank you for your patience as we reviewed the U.S. Department of Education’s request for certification under Title VI and SFFA v. Harvard.
At the direction of Governor Kotek, the Oregon Department of Education (ODE) issued its response today, which reaffirms that Oregon has implemented and continues to implement education programs in accordance with state and federal law.
This letter serves as the official response for all Oregon LEAs. No further action is required on your part.
As always, we remain guided by what’s best for our students, educators, and communities. Oregon will continue to promote diversity in our schools because we recognize it enhances learning outcomes for all students. Thank you for your unwavering commitment to fostering safe, welcoming schools.
