Team Oregon Build (TOB) has been named the 2025 Workforce Program of the Year by the National Association of Workforce Development Professionals (NAWDP).

TOB's mission is to "engage, educate and empower youth through hands-on construction and manufacturing projects. We provide pathways for career development in high-demand trades while addressing the urgent need for safe and sustainable housing."

TOB student participants build experiences and forge vital relationships as they develop technical proficiency, workforce readiness, and essential employability skills.

Looking Ahead:

Preparing for a Potential 2025-27 CTE Revitalization Grant at Oregon ACTE

In anticipation of a possible CTE Revitalization Grant for the 2025-27 biennium, ODE CTE staff will be at the Oregon ACTE Annual Conference in April with information and guidelines as you consider formulating a Revit Grant program. We will not have confirmation of a new Revit Grant or information on funding levels until after the state legislature adjourns in June, but advance planning is encouraged.

Learn more about the 2025 Oregon ACTE Annual Conference, which will be held April 16-18 in Seaside, Oregon.

Also, keep posted on CTE Revitalization Grant developments by visiting the ODE CTE Revitalization Grant web page, where you can also sign up for the CTE listserv.

Use this form to submit #ThisIsCTE items throughout the year.

SkillsUSA Member Scholarships Available this Spring

SkillsUSA offers a variety of scholarships for member students in the skilled trades, including architecture, automotive service, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, transportation repair, welding, and more. Scholarships can offset the cost of postsecondary education and training, and--in some cases--the cost of attending SkillsUSA events.

Many scholarships are open now for application, with deadlines between April and June 2025.
