Our team recognizes the great work happening in schools and districts around the state to bring together the components of Integrated Plans in preparation for 2025-27 plan submissions, including input gathered through community engagement and needs assessment data analysis. In support of that work and your continued commitment to students in your schools and communities, in this month’s message you’ll find information about:
- ODE-Approved Provider Lists & Criteria for Early Literacy Success School District Grants
- Integrated Plan Board Presentation Template
- A case study of McKinney-Vento service providers at four Oregon school districts
- Integrated Programs and Early Literacy Year 2, Quarter 2 Reporting is due January 31
ODE-Approved Provider Lists & Criteria for Early Literacy Success School District Grants (ELSSDG)
ODE released the following resources for grantees for use in the 25-27 Biennium:
- Approved Provider Lists for Professional Development, Coaching, and High-Dosage Tutoring
- Criteria for districts to use to evaluate their High-Dosage Tutoring and Extended Learning programming
The provider lists and criteria go into effect July 1, 2025, and should be reviewed to inform ELSSDG investments for the 25-27 Integrated Application. The provider lists, criteria, and more information can be found at the ODE-Approved Provider Lists for Professional Development and Coaching and High-Dosage Tutoring webpage. Districts may still use Early Literacy grant funds to pay for professional learning related to training staff on implementation of research-aligned curricula under the allowable use code "Adoption and Implementation of Curriculum & Materials." Those trainers do not need to be on the ODE-Approved Provider List.
Optional 25-27 Integrated Plan Board Presentation Template
ODE is making an optional presentation template available that schools and districts may build upon in order to share information about their Integrated Plan with their Governing Board. Please see Appendix O: Board Requirements, pg 154 in the Integrated Guidance, for more information about specific requirements for board presentations.
“Whatever we need to do for them”: A case study of McKinney-Vento service providers at four Oregon school districts
The third in a series of three research briefs has been published elevating learnings from site visits to partner school districts in Oregon to support students navigating housing instability. Read the full brief on the Research and Data website.
