Integrated Program Reporting and Application Dashboard Change
To effectively support the 2025-27 application process, as well as continue to maintain all quarterly and annual reporting, plan changes, and contact information updates, ODE transitioned its Integrated Programs Reporting and Application Dashboard (the “RAD”) to Smartsheet WorkApps on December 30. Smartsheet WorkApps operates essentially the same as the prior RAD; however, grantees will see that instead of a single dashboard (with a lot of scrolling!) for all information, the WorkApp has separate dashboards that contain content by subject. For example, the content in the “Basic Information” section has its own dashboard, while the quarterly reporting has a separate dashboard. This looks similar to an outline in a document or a menu bar on a webpage–you select a tab to navigate between content areas. We believe that this makes the content easier to navigate and the grantees who graciously piloted it for us said "The tabs at the left are a game-changer!".
The rollout of this new layout has a few things to keep in mind:
- Quarter 2 reporting for 2024-25 uses the WorkApp.
- A new technical guidance document and a short walkthrough video are available for learning about the new system.
- Members of the Smartsheet team are attending the Office Hours for Quarter 2 reporting in January in case any technical concerns arise.
- There will be no changes to who from your organization has access.
- It is still not required to purchase a Smartsheet license to access the content and complete your reporting.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out at ode.eii@ode.oregon.gov.
Early Literacy Grant Amendments and HSS Grant Amendments are ready!
Grant Amendments have been sent to eligible grantees for Early Literacy Year 2 funds and HSS Year 2 Supplemental funds reflecting the increased limitation released in November. Please return your signed Amendment as soon as you are able and ODE will release your funds in EGMS. Please note, you do NOT need to present these grant amendments to your Board.

Highlighted Resources for the Month
Schools implement CTE programs for a variety of reasons. Many have found that a wonderful thing happens when learners engage in meaningful, relevant programming tied to future careers...learners stay, thrive, and complete. This brief commentary from March 2024 reflects that reality.
