Dear Title IX Coordinators and colleagues,
With the new Title IX regulations in effect, we’re all working diligently to update policies and get required training and practices in place. ODE is offering additional training dates to accommodate district requests for training for investigators, decisionmakers, and appeals personnel in the Title IX process.
Virtual Training Options
Expanded registration is available for all Title IX Investigations and Responses dates, with some new dates added! Not sure which training to take? Consult our Which Training Should I Take? resource, and register for the corresponding training below.
Each training is offered on multiple dates; you only need to sign up for one session.
Title IX Investigations and Responses (2024 Regulations)
This three-hour training covers the new response and investigation requirements of the 2024 regulations, effective August 1, 2024. This training is designed to meet the training requirements under § 106.8(d)(2) of the 2024 regulations.

Title IX Coordinator Training (2024 Regulations)
This two-hour training is designed to equip Title IX Coordinators with the knowledge to fulfill their requirements and duties under the 2024 regulations, effective August 1, 2024. This training, when combined with the Investigations and Responses training, is designed to meet the training requirements under § 106.8(d)(4) of the 2024 regulations.

IX 101: Intro to Title IX for K-12 Coordinators and Designated Personnel
This two-hour training is designed to give an overview of K-12 Title IX civil rights law, including basic civil rights compliance requirements, and Title IX’s specific focus areas, including athletics, single-sex programs, pregnant and parenting student supports, LGBTQ2SIA+ student support, and sex-based harassment.

In-Person Training
In-person opportunities to complete the Title IX Investigations and Responses Training and Title IX Coordinator Training are available through some ESDs in August, September, or October, including: Clackamas, High Desert, InterMountain, Linn Benton-Lincoln, Multnomah, South Coast, Southern Oregon, and Willamette ESDs. Please connect with your ESD’s Title IX representative for more information.
The trainings offered in-person at ESDs are the same trainings as offered online; you do not need to attend both in-person and online training.

Title IX Community of Practice
These monthly meetings are a more informal opportunity to gather Title IX Coordinators together from around the state to learn and connect together. Meetings will be on the second Tuesday of the month, 9-10 am, starting on Tuesday, September 10, 2024.
Register once, and attend as often as you can.
Topics will be decided on a rolling basis based on community interest. The September 10, 2024 will focus on connecting around implementation support for the 2024 regulations.
