To: Superintendents, Charter School Leaders, Business Managers, K-12 Public Information Officers From: Angelica Cruz, Director of Literacy & Brittany Deckard, Director of Grants Management and Monitoring Date: June 13, 2024 Re: Reminder: Early Literacy Grant Reporting Requirements
Dear Early Literacy Success School District Grant Recipients,
As we close out this school year, we want to ensure recipients of the Early Literacy Success School District grants are kept informed on the upcoming annual reporting requirements. To support planning for reporting in the first year of the grant, we are sending this reminder about specific literacy components that grantees are required, per legislation, to report on.
HB 3198 requires grant recipients to submit information about Early Literacy Success School District Grant expenditures and early literacy programming (from all funding sources) in their annual report. We recognize this is a significant lift and our goal in sending this message is to set you up for success when you return from summer break so that you are able to plan for this legislatively required report. More detailed information about reporting was originally shared last October in the Early Literacy Application Guidance. The annual report deadline for 2024 is November 30, 2024, in alignment with the Integrated Annual Report, and will be accessed through the Reporting and Application Dashboard (RAD). Grantees will report data for the allowable use activities noted below that occurred between October 1, 2023 and June 30, 2024.
Key areas required for your annual report include:
