Computer Science Optional Standards:
On Aug 6, 2024 at 2:00pm, ODE will be hosting an engagement session to preview the summer’s work on computer science optional academic content standards. This session will be presented as part of OCSTA’s SuperQuest. Registration is available at https://oregoncsta.org/.

Computer Science Professional Development for Counselors and Administrators:
CS for Oregon is hosting a CS Equity Workshop for School Leaders during their K12 Computer Science Equity Summit in Bend, Oregon this summer, July 30-31, 2024. At this workshop, administrators, TOSAs, curriculum directors, counselors, and other equity-focused school leaders will gain a deeper understanding of the barriers and opportunities for implementing equitable computer science (CS) education in their schools and districts. To participate, please submit an application.

Computer Science Survey:
PNW CS Teach is an organization committed to sustaining joyful, equitable pathways into K-12 Computer Science (CS) teaching and they are sponsoring a survey to better understand the experience of computer science teachers. Specifically, they are seeking to better understand what middle and high school CS teachers need from a community of practice in the Pacific Northwest and are looking to hear from those who teach or have taught computing-related courses:
- Introduction to CS
- Exploring Computer Science (ECS)
- Computer Science Principles (CSP)
- Advanced Placement CSA/CSB
- Game design/development
- Robotics, Web Design/Dev, computer programming
- Information Technology
- Cyber Security, Networking
