Dear Business Managers and School Finance Friends,

We hope you are all doing well!

The 2024-25 school year budget data collections are now open for your School District's or ESD's 2024-25 Adopted Budget financial data and 2024-25 Adopted Budget document submissions to our School Finance Team.

Upcoming Due Dates

July 15, 2024: 2024-25 Adopted Budget document, complete with resolutions, aligning with Oregon Local Budget Law.
- Please send a pdf budget copy to ODE.SchoolFinance@ode.oregon.gov

August 15, 2024: 2024-25 Budget Revenues and Budget Expenditures data submissions uploaded to Consolidated Collections on the ODE District Site aligning with Oregon Local Budget Law and the Program Budgeting and Accounting Manual (PBAM).
- Please note this is a secure site and requires authorized access.

District Budgeting and Accounting Resources Site
- Program Budgeting and Accounting Manual (PBAM) of the Oregon Chart of Accounts for school districts and ESDs with definitions of fund codes, revenue source codes, expenditure function codes, expenditure object codes, and appropriate coding recommendations.

Please try your best to use the Special Revenue sub-codes listed below rather than rolling up to fund code 200 when submitting budget financial data to ODE's Consolidated Collections.

Best practice is to identify all Special Revenue Funds in the Budget Data Collections. These options in the funds list comply with our ESSA requirements for our actual data collections as well. For reference, the detailed Special Revenue Funds are provided in the Program Budgeting and Accounting Manual (PBAM).
- Fund 201: Federal Revenue Sources and Expenditures
- Fund 250: State, Local, and Other Revenue Sources and Expenditures
- Fund 251: Student Investment Account
- Fund 252: Measure 98-High School Success
- Fund 299: Child Nutrition Programs - Food Service Sources and Expenditure
