Dear Partners,
We are excited to let you know that Oregon’s IDEA Part B and Part C State Applications have been coordinated by our OESO team and posted on our website. We hope that you will review the applications and provide public comment to help us improve our application process. The input of our LEA’s is very valuable, and we appreciate it.
IDEA Part B and Part C State Applications Posted
Annually, states must apply for IDEA funding to the United States Department of Education (USED). The state application asks for assurances the state meets certain provisions of IDEA, information about the funds the state makes available for the purposes of special education, and a spending plan for the state's IDEA administration and set-aside allocations. States must make the application content public and seek public input on the substance of the application for no less than 60 days prior to submission.
ODE invites you to review the IDEA Part B and Part C State Applications. The applications are available on the ODE website. Public comment is welcome from April 1-30, 2024. Send public comment to: ODE IDEA Finance ODE.IDEAFinance@ode.oregon.gov
