Oregon Department of Education Releases State Performance Plan/Annual Performance Report for FFY 2021
(Salem, OR) — The Oregon Department of Education (ODE) released its State Performance Plan/Annual Performance Report (SPP/APR), detailing efforts to serve students experiencing disability and progress toward measurable goals.
This comprehensive report outlines the State’s efforts to implement the requirements and purposes of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). It highlights progress Oregon has made in achieving rigorous targets for indicators like graduation rates, dropout rates, and parent involvement. It also notes areas where further improvement remains needed, such as assessment participation and performance.
Key Highlights of the Report:
- Oregon’s graduation rate for youth with IEPs increased to 79.97% in Federal Fiscal Year (FFY) 2021, up from 75.37% in FFY 2020.
- Oregon’s dropout rate for youth with IEPs declined to 8.16% in FFY 2021, down from 12.87% in FFY 2020.
- Oregon met placement targets related to educating students with IEPs in regular classes and separate environments.
