The Oregon Department of Education Child Nutrition Programs (ODE CNP) is releasing our annual CACFP Annual Training.
This year, the CACFP Annual Training comprises of two parts: Part I was released on February 8, 2023 and included instructions on completing the Civil Rights training requirements. Information on Part II is included in this memo. The Food Program Coordinator is required to complete all requirements for the CACFP Annual Training by the deadlines listed.
Part I: Civil Rights Trainings: (See the Civil Rights Training Memo sent out on February 8, 2023 and the February 2023 and March 2023 Knowing and Growing Newsletters) By March 31, 2023, the Food Program Coordinator for the CACFP must complete the following:

*School Food Authority Sponsors whose Food Program Coordinators attended the Oregon School Nutrition Association’s (OSNA) Conference on March 10, 2023 and participated in the CACFP Annual Training Sessions for At-Risk Afterschool Sponsors or Child Care Centers and At-Risk Afterschool Sponsors have already completed Part II and do not need to take the online video version or the quiz.
While only the Food Program Coordinator is required to take the training, the Authorized Representative and other Responsible Principals of the CACFP are also encouraged to take the trainings.
Sponsors must complete all CACFP Annual Training requirements in order to complete renewals for CACFP for Fiscal Year 2024. Those who fail to complete all training requirements may be determined to be seriously deficient.
